Study skills assessment tools are a useful way to learn more about your own learning, strengths, areas in need of improvement, and learning style.

Services

Academic Advising Appointment

  • Make a study skills appointment with an Academic Advisor to assess and develop strategies to improve your academic performance
  • Call or visit the Academic Advising and Career Centre to book an appointment

Study Skills Peer Counselling

  • Meet with a senior student trained to assess and advise you on utilizing various study skills techniques to improve your academic performance
  • Check for available appointment and sign-up, up to 1 week before the appointment on the Intranet (select Calendar and look for Study Skills Peer Counselling on the drop down box on the top right hand side)

LASSI & Learning Style Inventories & Seminars

LASSI

  • The Learning and Study Strategy Inventory (LASSI) is an inventory that looks at your learning and study practices and attitudes in 10 areas. We make suggestions to help you improve where the need is indicated.

  • Instructions on how to complete the LASSI.
